The Bauges massif is characterized by an agriculture dominated by dairy farming with a traditional practice of mountain pasture.
The Tome des Bauges, Protected Designation of Origin since 2022, is the flagship product of the massif.
You can taste it and buy it in cooperatives or directly from producers for direct sale.
Craftsmanship is also very present in the massif: violin making, leather work, chocolate factories, plant cultivation....
